The number that decides it

Stop comparing nightly rates. Compare cost per bedroom.

A hotel quotes you a room. We house a team — one person per private bedroom. The honest way to weigh the two isn’t the headline nightly figure — it’s what a private bedroom actually costs inside a furnished home with a kitchen, laundry, and room to work. At one person per bedroom that figure lands at about half a hotel room. So here’s the math, drawn out rather than asserted.

  • i
Per private bedroom is the apples-to-apples line your finance team can defend — and at one person per room, it’s also the per-person cost.
  • ii
Everyone keeps a door that closes — a full home with a private bedroom each, not a block of rooms down a hallway.
  • iii
One invoice replaces a stack of folios, and the kitchen replaces the room-service tabs.
Model your own mix in the cost calculator
Worked example · 3 people · 90 nights · a room each The same team, housed two ways. Read the cost per private bedroom off the columns.
Hotel block 3 rooms, 3 folios
Per room / mo$6.9K
Team / mo$20.7K
CHG residence 1 home, 1 invoice
Per bedroom / mo$2,990–$3,128
Per person / mo$2,990–$3,128

Three rooms become one home. The same three people, each with a private bedroom — and the cost lands $2,990–$3,128 per person, about half a hotel room, with kitchens, laundry, and room to actually work, on one invoice.

Team monthly delta · ~$11.3K–$11.7K less than the room block

Illustrative. One person per bedroom · hotel assumption $230/room/night · model your own mix & rate in the cost calculator. Formal quote within 24 hours.

Who we house

Built for the ways companies & movers actually book

Most corporate and relocation stays fall into one of these shapes — each has its own page with the commute, billing, and included details that matter for that situation. All of them run on the same single-invoice, one-contact backbone.

Need something that isn’t on this list — a longer assignment, a recurring program, a mix of sizes? Request a quote and we’ll tell you honestly what we can place for your dates. We’re small and owner-operated, and our footprint is growing.

The Custom-Solution Process

From first message to keys in hand — no black box

Most corporate-housing sites end at a “Contact us” box and leave you guessing. Here is the actual path, set on the seam that runs the whole site — four stages, what you hand us, and what lands back. You’ll know what you’re getting, what it costs, and who’s accountable before you commit to anything.

  1. Step 01 · Scope

Tell us the shape of the need

Headcount, dates, rough budget, and whatever matters — accessibility, parking, pets, same-building placement, per-diem constraints. One employee or a full team; a few weeks or several months. The more you give us, the more complete the first proposal comes back.

    • One unit to a full team
    • Flexible 30+ night terms
  2. Step 02 · Model

See the math before you commit

Before any call, model it yourself. The cost calculator turns headcount and dates into a per-bedroom, per-person, and blended monthly range — one person per bedroom — and for federal dates, flags how a stay sits against the GSA D.C. cap for your exact month. You leave with a number you can put in front of a manager or a contracting officer.

    • Per-bedroom & per-person economics
    • Month-correct per-diem fit
  3. Step 03 · Tailor

We compose the actual solution — within 24 hours

Not a brochure. A real proposal: the matched apartments, same-building or same-area placement where dates allow, an area-level commute summary to the Pentagon, Amazon HQ2, DCA, and Virginia Hospital Center, the included-amenities matrix per unit, single-invoice billing structured to your timeline, and a named account contact. You see the format up front, so there are no surprises.

    • Matched apartments & placement plan
    • Single-invoice billing terms
    • One named account contact
The promise, in writing — within 24 hours
  4. Step 04 · Move-in & manage

Day one, and every day after

Keys, access codes, and Wi-Fi working the day your people arrive. After that, one point of contact for the life of the stay — extensions, early move-outs, unit swaps, consolidated billing. Because CHG is owner-operated, the person who answers can actually authorize the change. A relationship, not a one-off booking.

    • Move-in ready day one
    • One contact for the whole stay

One spine, end to end — the same person scopes it, places it, and answers.

Step 02 · Model it yourself

The tool: model your team’s cost

Set the unit mix and the term, add your headcount at one person per bedroom — and watch the per-bedroom, per-person, and blended monthly range rebuild live, with the saving against a separate hotel-room block drawn out. It’s the number a manager or contracting officer can act on, before you ever send a request.

Why a furnished home, not a hotel block

The transparency most corporate-housing sites forfeit

A multi-week hotel block looks simple until the line items arrive — resort fees, parking, no kitchen, a different rate every night. A furnished CHG home bundles what a long stay actually needs into one monthly number, on one invoice, with a person who answers.

  • Pricing in the open. Real “starting from” rates and a builder you run yourself — no “call for pricing.”
  • Per-diem honesty. We show whether a stay fits your GSA cap for the month, never a “savings you keep” figure.
  • One vendor, one invoice. Utilities, Wi-Fi, and cleaning bundled into a single line your finance team can reconcile in seconds.

Illustrative comparison from CHG starting rates. Exact pricing depends on your dates, the specific apartment, and availability — request a quote for a written number. Per-diem caps verified against the current GSA FY2026 D.C. schedule.

Need accessible units? Tell us in Scope.

We state each apartment’s accessibility honestly — step-free entry, doorway width, roll-in shower, elevator access — and match you to a unit that fits, or tell you straight if we can’t. Today our homes are in elevator buildings but are not step-free / ADA units; if step-free access or a roll-in shower is a requirement, flag it in your quote request and we’ll be honest about what we can place for your dates.

The intake that closes it

You’ve scoped it and modeled it — now turn it into a proposal

The quote form is pre-filled from your cost-calculator selections, so you’re reviewing a built request, not starting from a blank page. Submitting sends it to the operator; it doesn’t book or charge anything. You’ll have your tailored proposal within 24 hours.

Just one stay for yourself? You may not need a proposal — confirm your dates and book directly through our booking partner from the apartment’s page.

We placed a four-person team here for a 60-day contract near the Pentagon. One invoice, move-in ready on day one, and the owner answered every question the same day. We’d do it again without shopping around.

The deal-blockers, answered before you ask

What’s the minimum stay for a corporate booking?

Our corporate housing program — a managed placement on a single monthly invoice — carries a 30-night minimum, which is standard for furnished corporate housing and keeps the monthly rate well below a nightly hotel. (A guest who just wants a shorter stay can always book direct for any length at the nightly rate.) For project timelines that don’t fit neatly into months, tell us in your quote request and we’ll structure terms around your dates.

How does per-diem billing work with CHG?

Arlington, Crystal City, and Pentagon City fall under the GSA Washington, D.C. per-diem locality, and our monthly rates are built to work within the federal lodging cap for most of the year. Because the D.C. cap changes by month, we confirm the exact figure for your travel dates in your proposal. Federal per diem reimburses actual lodging cost up to the cap, and D.C. lodging tax is generally handled separately — your travel authority makes the final call.

How fast can you place a team?

It depends on headcount and dates, but for available units a team can be placed in a matter of days, with move-in ready day one. We’ll tell you honestly in your proposal what we can place for your exact dates rather than overpromise on capacity we don’t have.

What exactly is included for a corporate stay?

Utilities, high-speed WiFi, a full kitchen, in-unit or in-building laundry, linens, and regular cleaning are included in the rate, with parking available depending on the unit. Billing is a single monthly invoice per agreement, and anything not included is spelled out in your proposal before you commit.

What if our dates or headcount change after we book?

Extensions, early move-outs, and unit swaps are handled directly with your named contact. Because CHG is owner-operated, the person you reach can actually authorize the change. Specific terms are confirmed in writing in your agreement.

Can you bill our company directly?

Yes. We bill the company on a single monthly invoice per agreement, can structure terms around a project timeline, and keep utilities, WiFi, and cleaning bundled into one line so your finance team isn’t reconciling multiple vendors.
